HAMPSHIRE, U.K. – Appello, a technology-enabled care service (TECS) provider, and Bluebird Care, a homecare agency, have teamed up to provide a new remote patient monitoring program, Bluebird Care Assist. “Partnering with Appello means we can design and develop innovative care packages with local authorities, health and community trusts, and clinical commissioning groups to help discharge patients sooner, improve their outcomes and increase hospical capacity,” said Duncan Berry, COO of Bluebird Care, in a statement. Where older or vulnerable people may require 24-hour monitoring, Andy Davey, managing director at Appello said that without technology this can usually only be provided by live-in care, in a care home or hospital environment. “With the use of TECS, we’re able to provide data collected from the sensors that can help build a proactive care service,” said Davey.
