CARLSBAD, Calif. – Breg, a provider of integrated orthopedic therapy solutions, has launched the Breg Flex, a sensor-driven wearable to aid in recovery after orthopedic surgery. “Backed by a heritage steeped in orthopedics and combined with the latest technological innovation, Breg Flex is a remarkably easy solution that brings meaning to movement,” said Brad Lee, president and CEO of Breg. Breg Flex uses a chargeable Bluetooth sensor worn by patients to track progress with prescribed physical therapy exercises and a mobile app to guide them through exercises. The sensor and app work together to capture range-of-motion tracking and share real-time information about patients’ at-home progress with their health care providers. Beta testing of the Breg Flex has shown that patients were 75% compliant with their therapy protocols and reported a 90% satisfaction rate.
