BOSTON – Alan Bugos has joined LifePod Solutions as executive vice president of technology and engineering. The company provides voice-first, intelligent and connected services to support seniors as they age-in-place. Bugos was most recently head of technology and innovation for Philips Home Monitoring (Lifeline). “I am thrilled to join the LifePod team and contribute to applying the power of voice to the market needs of seniors, managed care patients and their caregivers,” said Bugos in a statement. “LifePod’s vision to leverage a voice-first user interface and deliver data-driven, AI-enabled services to seniors and their caregivers has the potential to dramatically improve the health and well-being of millions of people who are aging-in-place and to also provide peace of mind for their family and professional caregivers.” LifePod offers a personalized, voice-enabled service built on top of smart speaker technology platforms to help caregivers of older adults and those with chronic illnesses or special needs to monitor and manage their daily schedules, medications, appointments, health activities, entertainment needs and risks of social isolation. Bugos will lead the company’s engineering and development teams while simultaneously helping to define the company’s technology platform strategy and to partner with the industry leaders required to execute it.
