FRANKFURT, Germany – Medical device company Personal MedSystems has raised $5.36 milion in series B funding for its personalized electrocardiogram (ECG) device. “The Series B financing and the strategic leverage points of our new investors will accelerate our market penetration for high-quality cardiac services further and strengthen our pioneering position within mHealth,” said Felix Brand, managing director of Personal MedSystems, in a statement. The device, CardioSecur, is a smartphone-based personalized ECG that provides instant feedback on heart symptoms where and when they occur. When logged in to the app, the user receives an immediate recommendation on what actions to take, and can share the ECG data with their physician.
