Glooko raises $35M to accelerate growth
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – Diabetes management platform provider Glooko will use $35 million in new funding to accelerate growth, expand its international presence and deepen its expertise in data analytics. “This additional funding will help us to further our mission: to improve the lives of people with diabetes,” said Rick Altinger, CEO of Glooko, in a statement. The company plans to increase commercialization efforts in France, Germany, the U.K., Asia and the Middle East.

CirrusMD raises $7M for text-based platform
DENVER – CirrusMD has raised $7 million in Series A funding to expand its sales and marketing efforts, bulk up its customer support and advance its telehealth platform and data analytics.
The platform enables health systems and health plans to provide patients with instant access to an in-network doctor who can assess their needs and guide them to the most appropriate point of care via text messaging. Should the need arise, physicians and patients can share images, video chat, and talk on the phone. “Our approach is proven to significantly lower total cost of care,” said Andrew Altorfer, CEO and co-founder of CirrusMD, in a statement.
