RENO, Nev. – Olea Sensor Networks has developed a platform with software analytics to predict a patient’s fall, or call for help if one occurs. BalancedSense includes a wireless, contact-less device that is able to collect and process data to predict deviations in a patient’s core balance and can send a call for assistance in the event of a fall. The system extracts statistics using Olea’s sensor analytics and transmits them through the cloud. “In general, call alert systems require the victim to be able to push a button, which is not always possible when disoriented or unconscious,” said Frank Morese, CEO/CTO and founder of Olea.
