CHICAGO – Spectrum Health has joined AVIA Innovator Network to support its newly-formed Spectrum Health Ventures fund. Through the fund, Spectrum plans to invest $100 million in health care companies over the next 10 years, focusing on finding, investing and implementing digital solutions addressing prevention and wellness, care delivery transformation, consumer engagement and genomics. “At Spectrum Health, we strive to be at the forefront of health care, pushing ourselves toward innovation and cutting-edge technologies,” said Roger Jansen, chief strategy officer at Spectrum Health, in a statement. “By joining AVIA, we will collaborate with other leading health systems in the network to make smarter technology selections and investment decisions.” AVIA connects more than 20 action-oriented health systems across the nation to transform health care by identifying and implementing digital solutions that solve healthcare’s biggest strategic challenges. “With AVIA’s support, Spectrum Health will find promising digital solutions that offer investment opportunities and address pressing challenges for the health system,” said Eric Langshur, co-founder and CEO of AVIA, in a statement.
