SAN DIEGO – CRF Health, a provider of electronic clinical outcome assessment solutions, can now offer a complete wireless solution for data collection.
CRF Health’s acquisition of Entra Health, a provider of remote patient monitoring and other digital health solutions, establishes a complete network for collecting, managing and analyzing biometric and clinical data.
“We thought the acquisition was a way to collect more information and enrich the data,” said Rachael Wyllie, CEO of CRF Health.
The acquisition builds on an existing relationship between the two companies—Entra Health has been CRF Health’s supplier of wireless glucometers. The meters are used internationally for clinical trials in diabetes research.
The acquisition allows CRF Health to build its presence in the healthcare arena, and Entra Health to build a niche in clinical research.
“The biggest advantage of the acquisition is the depth that CRF Health gives to Entra,” said Richard Strobridge, CEO of Entra Health. “That, and the clinical research pedigree we were seeking.”
Entra Health offers EntraCare, a flexible and scalable remote monitoring solution, and MyHealthPoint, a platform that delivers remote monitoring to patient populations across a multitude of therapeutic areas.
Prior to the acquisition, CRF Health’s customers included top 20 and specialty pharmaceutical companies, as well as Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials. Entra’s included payers, providers and home health agencies.
