BOSTON – Medically Home Group, a technology-enabled services company, has introduced Cesia Continuum, a combination software, hardware and third-party technology to transform the homes of patients into sites for safe advanced medical care.
Medically Home is combining technology, a disruptive business model and a strong personal touch to operate micro hospital units in the homes of patients as a safe alternative to high fixed-cost, bricks-and-mortar hospitals, said Richard Rakowski, CEO of Medically Home, in a statement.
“Bringing advanced medical care to the home is just the beginning for our company,” Rakowski said. “Medically Home is responding to interest from new market segment opportunities, new geographies and a host of emerging technologies that would like to secure a foothold in the new market of acute medical care provided in the home.”
Cesia Continuum creates the ecosystem needed to operate a temporary micro-hospital in a patient’s home. It allows the home to operate inside a connected network under the command of Medically Home’s remote telemedicine Mission Control Center, linking together physician oversight, evidence-based care delivery protocols and two-way audio/visual communication between patients and their care teams.
